THE STORY
The international broadcast networks have been focusing on reality television since its creation
in 2000 with the launch of Survivor. This focus created a demand for additional “Reality” programs which conveyed an unpredictable world filled with unsafe people and places particularly with programs like “Cops”, “Unsolved Mysteries” and “America’s Most Wanted”. This sense of modern danger justified the programs' solicitation of audience participation through surveillance. Invariably, a more diversified program with content communicating a new energy was desperately needed on television.
GINO GROUP ACTION
“That’s Hot!” was created to influence a new found energy and to establish a connection throughout the global broadcasting social system. These webisodes were shot and edited to promote new and exciting international events such as Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week with coverage around the latest shoe phenomenon, London’s funky hair styles designed and displayed in Camden’s Goth District, Johannesburg’s world of mosaics designed by local artists at Dish and behind the scenes coverage of the Bermuda Music Festival with John Legend, Chris
Tucker and Erykah Badu.
